ICU Bridge and Medical Pendant Systems Deployed at Gaozhou People's Hospital's New ICU and Operating Room Facilities in Guangdong

GAOZHOU, Guangdong, China — Red Sun Medizone today announced the successful installation of its QF-JX-300 ICU Bridge and ZD-100 ICU Multi-Functional Pendant Column systems at the newly built intensive care unit (ICU) and operating room (OR) facilities of Gaozhou People's Hospital in Gaozhou City, Guangdong Province. The deployment strengthens the hospital's critical-care infrastructure with an integrated, ceiling-mounted hospital gas supply system and a versatile ICU pendant system designed for high-dependency patient environments.

Gaozhou People's Hospital is a regional tertiary referral center serving western Guangdong. To accommodate growing demand for critical-care services, the hospital commissioned a brand-new ICU ward block and an upgraded surgical suite. Hospital planners required a hospital gas supply system and an ICU pendant system that would consolidate oxygen, medical air, suction, and power delivery into a single overhead infrastructure — freeing floor space, simplifying equipment management, and supporting the strict infection-control standards required in critical care.

After technical evaluation, the hospital selected the QF-JX-300 ICU Bridge for horizontal coverage across the patient bed and the ZD-100 ICU Multi-Functional Pendant Column for vertical bedside consolidation. Both units are designed to integrate with the hospital's existing central gas pipeline and electrical distribution network, enabling a plug-and-play handover at each bed position.

The QF-JX-300 ICU Bridge is a ceiling-mounted service bridge engineered for adult, pediatric, and neonatal ICUs, as well as emergency resuscitation rooms. It delivers a stable platform for the ICU pendant system architecture, with a bridge length ranging from 2200 mm to 3200 mm and a maximum bearing capacity of 800 kg. Its dry and wet zones each provide 550 mm of horizontal travel and 0–350° of rotation, allowing clinicians to position oxygen, vacuum, and power terminals precisely where they are needed without crowding the bed area. The dry/wet separation design isolates clean equipment from fluid-handling zones, helping reduce cross-contamination in critical care.

In the Gaozhou project, the QF-JX-300 ICU Bridge functions as the primary horizontal distribution backbone of the hospital gas supply system, channeling medical gases and power to every ICU bed position.

The ZD-100 ICU Multi-Functional Pendant Column is a vertical ceiling-to-floor service column that complements the ICU Bridge with a high-rigidity, fixed-column profile. It rotates through 0–350° and is equipped with an electromagnetic braking system, with pneumatic or damping brake options available for specific clinical preferences. With a bearing capacity of 350 kg, the ZD-100 is engineered to carry multiple infusion pumps, ventilators, and patient monitors simultaneously, providing a stable mounting platform that improves clinical workflow and patient safety.

In the new ICU, the ZD-100 columns serve as the vertical anchor of the medical pendant system, integrating medical gas outlets, electrical sockets, network, and nurse-call connectivity into a single rigid column at each bedside.
